Come Find the Sun: Natural Dye exploration day. A fun four hour class teaching the essence of natural dyes through hands-on practice.
Dyepots of marigold, cochineal, weld, osage, madder, brazilwood, logwood, black walnut (in season) and more await your color experimentation. Course cost includes 5 mini-skeins of 50gram wool yarns, pre-scoured and mordanted for your immediate use.
Students should bring an apron, rubber gloves (for dishwashing), empty clean new quart mason jars with new lids (to take home your fiber and exhaust bath dyes), pencil and sense of experimentation. Do NOT wear your favorite shoes to class - in case of spills.
