Looms and Equipment

Floor Looms:

There’s a loom that will create the cloth of your imagination in the studio. A ten shaft countermarch, four shaft jack loom, four shaft countermarch, four shaft rug loom, four shaft counterbalance and (2) eight shaft countermarch looms…choices abound to use the tool that will do the job best.

Fiber Maker Studio has five floor looms with a sixth loom in another room and a seventh (we call her the “Beast”) in the main living room.

Equipment

Weaving equipment use on site is free with appointment.

Warping Board, Yarn Ball winder, Yarn Swift, McMorran Balance, Linen counter….all those extras needed to run a studio. Need a bigger (or smaller) swift to create yarn balls from skeins? What about an electric bobbin winder to wind off a bunch for the latest project? Contact the studio to make an appointment - most often that day.

Books and magazines are also available to use in house for research and pattern design. Contact the studio and Jennifer will have the coffee ready when you arrive.
