Natural Dye workshop

Come find the sun! Using flowers, roots, leaves, bark and bugs!

A fun four hour class teaching the essence of natural dyes - through experimentation.

We will use marigold, weld, osage, madder, logwood and perhaps indigo to achieve yellows, oranges and purples (and maybe get a green too!). We will be making our own dye pots to demonstrate how simple it is to explore color!

Provided: All dye plant materials, all pots/pans/measurers/spoons/etc and pre-mordanted fiber in mini-50gr skeins.

You should bring: • Long-sleeved Rubber gloves • Non-permeable apron • Quart size glass jars with lids, minimum of 4 • Pencil for notetaking • Sense of adventure.

Course cost: $100 (includes 5 mini-skeins)
