Fresh beginnings
A new warp, a new opportunity for experimentation and fun! A chance to begin afresh.
This warp will become kitchen towels for the Convergence 2022 Towel Exchange. I’m trying to get them done early, as July will be here before I know it!
You can clearly see in the photo how far apart the raddle held the three bouts. I’ve woven long enough to know this won’t be a major issue…but a new weaver might not know that.
A fresh start. Something new to challenge the brain and hands to combat these gray spring days. Although, the sun came out and chased away the clouds. It’s one of those rare Spring days - no bugs yet, warm sunshine and new green things sprouting up around me.
The trilliums are up! Spring is certainly here!
I’ve decided to name this piece “Indiana fields” - as the fields are still covered in their brown winter coats…but all around are signs of new bright green plant growth. Hope, does in fact, spring eternal.
May the HOPE of spring grow in your day. As for me? I’m off with my hemming to sit out in the sunshine and enjoy this rare Spring day. For they are fleeting…soon enough the bugs of Indiana will reign.
Wonder what weaving I can do to document that?!

The journey begins!
All weaving begins with fibers…a yarn that speaks to your very soul…a special project for a special moment in life…a very tangible element of a life lived. These are the reasons we play with thread.
