Traditional weaving courses
Courses to inspire, increase skills and provide you with success
From beginning weaving to advanced weave structures, there’s a class here for you. Beginning weavers create a series of mug rugs (coasters); the next step involves creating twill tea towels (kitchen towels) and playing with color. Advanced courses include structure studies - overshot, lace weaves, crackle weave, summer and winter, doubleweave.
Using Swedish Countermarch and Counterbalance looms alongside American Jack looms exposes you to a variety of types of loom mechanics. Table looms are also available for in-studio use.
Embroidery courses
Hardanger embroidery classes; Dorset button creation classes
Learn traditional Norwegian Hardanger embroidery or take it to the next level.
Create personalized buttons using methods from before the Industrial Revolution - a ring and thread.
Natural Dye courses
Fun in dyepots by playing with flowers, roots, bark and bugs (!)
Dye yarn with natural elements such as butterweed, weld, marigold, osage orange, logwood and cochineal
